Class of 2012 (Cheerleading) Whitney was in our cheer program from 2008- 20012 and was one of the captains for the JV football squad in 2009. She was named All American in the summer of 2011 at UCA cheer camp, while also qualifying for regionals as well. As a competitive cheerleader in high school, she cheered level 5 for the Stingrays Smoke Competition squad in 2011. She also earned gymnastics success at level 8, 9 and 10, consistently earning bids in postseason. After graduation, Whitney cheered at Georgia, where she was a main base for one year and transformed into a co-ed flier for the remaining two years after a series of wrist surgeries.  For all three years, she cheered for football, both basketball teams, gymnastics and volleyball.  During her time at UGA, Whitney also managed to work part time at Georgia Elite Gymnastic Center as an instructor.  Whitney is now at Georgia State University pursuing her masters’ degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is interning at Hirsch Academy as a counselor for autistic children. She continues to teach both cheer and gymnastics at The Peach Pit as a part time instructor.
