O’Neal was a four-time state champion in track – three times in the 400-meter and once in the 800. His 800 time remains the fastest time in state history. In 2011, he was named the Georgia Gatorade High School Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the Atlanta Track Club All-Metro Track Man of the Year and the Bill Shesky Award for the Most Outstanding High School Runner. He was also the recipient of the HIES Bishop Award and was named In Town Magazines 20-under-20 list. At UNC, he was an NCAA All-American, a two-time ACC champ, a 1st Team Academic All-ACC member, a UNC record holder in the distance medley relay, a freshman indoor 800-meter record holder and was the track & field captain. During this, he collected and distributed over 100 track spikes to schools across three parishes in Jamaica and the West Indies. After graduating in 2016 in Global Studies, he now works as an International Business analyst for UPS Corporate, is on our Advisory Board and volunteers locally with different charities.
