Class of 2010 (Lacrosse): Darius was a four-year varsity veteran in lacrosse for Coach Mike Thornton while at HIES, where he was a two-time First-Team All-State defenseman as well as two-time High School All-American. He holds the school record for single game and career ground balls. After graduation, he was the only player selected from Georgia to compete in the National High School All-Star tournament in Orlando, FL; his selection was unanimous. Darius went on to compete for four years of Division 1 lacrosse at Ohio State, where he played long-stick midfield and earned substantial playing time. He often matched up against some of the best offensive players from the strongest lacrosse programs in the country while a Buckeye. Darius is employed as a buyer for Kloeckner Metals in Roswell, Ga.
