Travis (2011) starred as a pitcher both at HIES and later at Jacksonville State University. He remains an ambassador for Golden Bear baseball, often giving lessons as well as recently arranging the 10-year reunion of the 2007 state championship. At HI, he compiled impressive ERAs of 2.52, 3.16 and 1.83 in his three years here, while batting .344 and .425, respectively. As a senior, he scored 31 runs, drove in 33, hit three homers and had a .492 on-base percentage. In college, he was named 2015 Preseason National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Second Team All-American, while helping his team win the 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Championships, where he was named MVP in the process. He still holds season records in ERA, is 1st, 4th and 5th in saves, is the career record saves holder, is 5thall-time in career saves in NCAA Division 1, and was named to the NECBL All-Star team. He later pitched for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He currently lives in Atlanta.
