Ruth Donahoo began her successful tenure as head volleyball coach, where she consistently guided the Bears to playoff appearances that included several Final Four slots. Moving on to athletic director, the HIES athletic programs consistently remained in the top 10 in the coveted Director’s Cup, with HI taking the top prize in one of her years. She served as director for eight years before moving to Florida.
