Against Trinity Christian, Sophia Ocampo had a shutout in the team win…Boys' lax topped Dunwoody 17-6; Towns Mooney and Jack Pileggi led the scoring…JV boys beat Dunwoody 15-2; Hudson Nowak, Mack Russell, and Henry Greene led.
Goal! Girls' soccer fell 2-1 to Wesleyan Wednesday. Sydney Williams scored the goal; Marley Vaughn, Elana McMasters, and Sophie Cardillo starred on defense…Boys' soccer lost 2-1 to Wesleyan Wednesday. Mitchell Bainbridge scored assisted by Sairis Panah. Bobby Spencer and Marcos Pacheco also stood out. They shut out Woodland 7-0 last week on goals by Panah (4), Pacheco, Hudson Stephens, and Bainbridge. Stephens and Jackson Mullins shared the shutout…JV boys beat Woodland 5-0; Christian Williams (4) and Shane Strobridge scored, other stars were Jules Sunkara (keeper), Connor Mutz, Ronan Chauhan, and Cristiano Laios.
Triple! Baseball topped Westminster 4-1 Wednesday, backed by two hits from Cole Hatfield and Gavin Evans and great pitching from Amaree Griffin. They lost to Lovett 9-2 Tuesday. Hatfield, Taylor Fuller, and Xavier Wilson each had two hits. They topped Jackson Co. 8-5 before break, Jude Smith and Hatfield each had two hits while Robby Chiaffredo got the win…JV beat Lovett 7-2, Fisher Catone went 2-for-2, Gus Federico fanned five…MS edged Westminster 8-7; Andrew Mullins, Luke Thompson, and Aiden Phillips pitched well, Holder Brinson led the hitting, and Phillips and Brinson led the defense. They lost to Wesleyan 7-3 but got solid play from Mullins and Thompson (pitching), Brinson and Beckett Kaineg (defense), and Max Carlisle and Finn Dickey (hitting).
Fore! Varsity girls' and boys' will continue regular seasons later this week…JV boys lost to Lovett Tuesday; standouts were Parker Panos, Strickland Bloomston, Cole Pratt, Turner Peterson, Bryce Shortt, and Hudson Stephens.
Run! Track will return to action next Wednesday at Pace….MS competed Tuesday with standouts including Talan Bocanegra, Will Moffat, Kynlee Swain, Colbie Sheehan, and Mason McCarthy.
Ad-in! The varsity tennis teams were idle but will return to regular season action later this week. Both JV squads have completed their campaigns.
