Girls' soccer: The Lady Bears remained without a loss Friday night as they held off East Coweta on the road for a 4-3 win. HI scores came from
Maria Utz (2),
Bev Benedict, and an on goal, while Benedict passed off for two assists. In the field, Ava McMasters was solid all over; our top defenders included
Grayson Roberts and
Reese Jackson.

Boys' soccer: The boys' fell 7-0 at East Coweta, the victims of a tough first half start and some early mistakes. Regardless, HI got good efforts out of
Marcos Pacheco and Thomas Goetze, and also had an improved second half.

Boys' lacrosse:
Patrick Ammons' squad got some good offensive efforts but unfortunately came out on the downside of a 17-7 score against Greater Atlanta Christian.
Walton Sullivan led the scoring with five goals; Emerson Grubb and
Noah Carlson also played well on offense.

Baseball: After being rained out Friday night, our Bears took it out on St. Francis Saturday with a 9-1 victory. HI collected eight hits, with two each from
Matt Luigs and
Braxton Padgett. Padgett also drove in two while Luigs scored twice. Others with hits included
Chandler Ketchup,
Zach Jackson,
Ian Graves and
Will Holland.

The pitching was superb – Tyler Malsom got the win, going five innings while striking out five and allowing only three hits. Taylor Fuller threw the last two frames and fanned two.

Track: Our Running Bears hosted Pace and Paideia Saturday and had some great results. Two school records went down –
Jacobi Murray broke the shot put mark while our girls' distance medley team of
Reese Martin,
Tia Smith,
Kate Ponder, and
Tatum McKinnis also etched their name on the record board.

There were plenty other stellar efforts –
Skyler Hall won the 150 and the 300-meter runs, Ava McMaster was second in the 300 and third in the 150,
Drew Bomar was second in the long jump,
Kate Ponder earned the silver in the 600,
Parker Miles and
Bobby Beck were 2
nd/3
rd after Sapone in the 600, and
Lindsey Ponder was second in the discus. Murray also won the discus, Jillian Jackson took the bronze in the same event.Â

Besides the above, MANY turned in personal records in their events.Â
