Final buzzer! It wasn't the ended wanted Wednesday in Macon, but huge congratulations go out to both the girls' and boys' basketball squads for their second-in-state finishes. The girls fell 44-42 to Hebron while the boys went down 53-50 against Darlington, finishing yet more great seasons from the squads. Congrats to all involved with both programs. 

Run! Track competed at Lakewood Saturday; Colt McNamara placed 2nd in both the shot and the discus while Caden Page placed 4th in the 800. Several others also were in action. They also competed at Mt. Pisgah Wednesday, where Brayden Bailey starred in the 100 and 200. They will resume regular season Saturday at the GAC Invitational…MS will resume action this week. 

Triple! Baseball blanked Kipp yesterday for Coach Jeff Rowland's 600th career victory. Ryan Dunham and Grant Brantley each had two hits while Bryce Floyd and Gavin Campos pitched well. They beat North Atlanta 7-2 before break. Taylor Fuller (3-for-3), Jude Smith (2-for-2), and Sam Chasteen (2-for-3) led the hitting, Amaree Griffin and Bradley the pitching. ...JV topped Pace 13-2 behind two hits each from Landon Murray and Xavier Bergmann and good pitching from Gus Federico. 

Ad-in! Girls' and boys' tennis teams blanked Therrell Wednesday, with girl victors including Maia O'Leary, Ellison Losin, Alessandra Georgiev and the teams of Maddie Lawrence-Auldyn Patak and Hannah Johnson-Gemma Mellon. For the boys, Jay McKown, Gavin Miles, Jack Robinson and Charlie Northcutt-Aaron Beck and Will Vinci-Grant Heerin got it done. 

Fore! Girls' golf took 2nd in top teams tournament in Columbus this past Monday and Tuesday. Molly Spector was second overall; Brooke Benedict and Sophia Ali-Bubriski also starred. Boys finished middle of the pack in Columbus. Logan Skaggs was All-tournament while Nicholas McKay, James Carper, and Matthew Binney gave good support. 

Goal kick! Girls' soccer beat Washington Tuesday on goals by Margaret Cole (3), Paige Jacquin (3), Beatrice Jones (2), Avery Bennett (2), Lucy Peterson (2), Emerson Argyll, Alexa Henningsen, and Sophia Cardillo.  …JV girls tied GAC 2-2 Wednesday. Blair Pitts and Megan Hendrick had our goals; Riley Shepherd, Elizabeth Green, Olivia Krumper, Aubrey Towson, and Ava Schutz also starred…MS tied Pace 2-2. Martin Tuff and Greer McLeod had the goals, Madison Davis an assist. Ansley Stephens and Emme Krumdeick played well in goal. 

Corner kick! Boys' soccer blanked Washington on goals from Sairis Panah (3 goals, 3 assists), Sullivan Swann (2 goals), Bradlee Williams (1 goal, 2 assists), Marcos Pacheco (1 goal, 1 assist), Lucas Peck (1 goal), Cooper Knowles (1 goal, 1 assist), Hudson Stephens (1 goal), Thomas Miller (1 goal), Jackson Mullins (2 assists), and Bobby Spencer (1 assist). They beat Fideles Christian 3-0 before break. Felipe Cruz, Pacheco, and Williams scored on assists from Panah (2), and Cruz. Mullins and Stephens excelled in goal; Miller and Spencer starred defensively. JV fell to GAC Wednesday but got good play out of Mateo Garcia, Matthew George, Sanders Mitchener, Graham Davis, and Harrison Evans…MS lost to Pace Tuesday. 

Re-lax! Girls' lax lost to Pace Tuesday despite good play from Evie Price, M.K. Noble, Grey Cullens, Temma Hoffenberg, and Byrdie Chartrand.… Boys' lax fell 7-6 to Pope before break, with stars including Braiden Lynn, Tuck Greene, and Bennett Burroughs…JV lost to Pope before break and fell 4-2 to Pace Wednesday.
