Hoops! Girls' hoops beat Kipp to win the region title last week. Elana McMasters scored 20, including her career 1000th, while Loriel Murray, Makayla Weaver, and Aaniyah Branch also led. They begin state play Friday at home…Boys' hoops topped Weber 75-40 in the opening round of state Wednesday, with double figure scoring by Devin Hutcherson, Kai Worthy, Jaden McCullough, and Colt Witzigreuter. They also won region with a 56-46 win over Kipp last week, where McCullough, Worthy, Hutcherson and King Araujo all starred.
Ad-in! Girls' tennis edged Wesleyan 3-2 and beat N. Atlanta 5-0. Wesleyan wins were by Rylee Swain, Ellison Losin, and Maddie Lawrence-Maia O'Leary. In the N. Atlanta win, O'Leary, Losin, Alessandra Georgiev, and Lawrence-Hannah Johnson and Gigi Core-Caroline Katz won. ..Boys' tennis fell 4-1 to Wesleyan but edged N. Atlanta 3-2. Jay McCown got the Wesleyan win while Danielle Bealle, Gavin Miles, and Charlie Northcutt-Aaron Beck and Will Vinci-Grant Heerin got the victories vs. N. Atlanta…JV girls lost to Whitefield 5-0; the JV boys fell 3-2 to the Wolfpack with wins coming from Jack Stone and Mayomi Sanni.

Lucy Peterson scored vs. Woodward, Cardillo the assist, and Marley Vaughn, Emerson Argyll, Chelsea Pacheco, Parker McCallum, and Paige Jacquin also led…JV fell to Lovett but got good play from Aubrey Towson, Gracie McCord, and Olivia Crumpler…MS blanked Lovett 6-0 and fell 4-1 to Woodward. th career save in the loss, while Byrdie Chartrand and Fallon Kaufman led the attack and M.K. Noble, Grey Cullens, and Evie Price the defense vs. Richmond Hill…JV beat Lovett 4-3; Addie Lynn had 10 saves, while Lila Goodmon and Madison Angell also starred.

Against C'hoochee, Tuck Greene (3 goals), Jack Chaloupek, Broos, Matt Neumann, and Preston Massie all led…JV boys beat Lakeside 10-1 behind two goals from Hudson Nowak and Beckett Talbert. Keeper Harrison McBrayer also starred. They tied Westminster 5-5; Mack Russell, Nowak, and William Whitty (offense), Nicholas Ivezaj and Miller Tabler (Midfield), and Will O'Connor and Henry Greene (defense) stepped up… MS had a tie and a loss vs. Pace and Woodward Saturday.
Homer! Baseball fell 10-9 to King's Ridge Wednesday, 7-3 to Pace Tuesday, topped Chamblee 12-8 Friday and lost 10-5 to Whitefield last week. Amaree Griffin and Jude Smith were the hitting stars vs. King's Ridge, while Graham Balfour pitched well. Smith had two hits vs. Pace; Robbie Chiaffredo fanned four. Against Chamblee, Grant Bradley had two hits, a homer, drove in three, and got the win, while Cole Hatfield also had two hits. Against Whitefield, Bradley also had two hits and a homer…JV beat Westminster 7-3 Wednesday, behind three hits by Ryan Peckham and two from Jake Jansen. They lost 11-5 to Dunwoody Tuesday but beat Woodward 9-0. Quinn Best drove in 3 vs. Woodward, Kaleb Kaplan, Landon Klopp, and Graham Balfour pitched well.
Triple! MS beat Mt. Bethel behind good play from Aiden Phillips and Cooper Panos (pitching), Max Carlisle William Wohlers and Brock Pumphrey (defense), and Luke Thompson, Holder Brinson, and Carlisle (hitting). They lost to Wesleyan but got solid efforts from Andrew Mullins (pitching), Wesley Logan (defense), and Vinnie Chiaffredo (hitting).

th at Lakewood. Colt McNamara and Caden Page have been two of the many stars in the early going…MS was rained out Saturday; their next meet is after Spring Break in mid-March.
