Cross country competed at Wesleyan Saturday, with stellar performances coming from Gavin Miles, Daniel Hill, Bobby Spencer, Henry Wood, Tommy Smith, Ellison Losin, Beatrice Jones, Brooke Hausmann, Brooke Benedict, and Belle Moore…MS ran at Darlington Saturday and at Wesleyan last Thursday. Top runners at Wesleyan included Beckett Koenig for the boys, while three girls finished in the top ten in Greer McLeod, Aubrey Cone, and Caroline Treadway. At Darlington, they also had several runners turn in personal bests.
Bump! Volleyball topped Coretta Scott King Wednesday, lost to Pace Tuesday, and edged Dunwoody 2-1 last Thursday. Touchdown! Football edged Lovett 14-7 Friday, with both scores coming on Ryan Woods to Brayden Bailey passes. Jordan Mays and Finn Ferrero were some of the many defensive stars…JV beat Woodward 17-10; TDs came from Ellyson Ely (kick return), and Dyer Fields. Hudson Stephens added a field goal, and the defense was led by Robert Camp and Colin Horne. Grant Quiles had a sack…MS beat Westminster 20-6 last week, behind touchdowns from Jace Johnson, Wesleyan Logan, and Andrew Coley.
Home run! Softball tied Whitefield 8-8 Tuesday before clinching its second straight region title Monday with a win over Coretta Scott King. All contributed, all played well in the Monday victory. They fell to Westminster Friday and St. Francis last week. Vivian Early, Emily Gainer, and Natalie Brown hit well vs. the Wildcats, while Asher Gleeson pitched great and Early hit well against St. Francis.
