Vonnie Holliday – Assistant Varsity Football Coach
Vonnie Holliday is most known for his 15 years of torturing opposing quarterbacks as a
defensive end in the NFL. The proud University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate
and Camden, SC native was drafted 19th overall in 1998 by the Green Bay Packers. After
stints in Green Bay, Kansas City, Miami, Denver, Washington and Arizona, Holliday retired
from the game yet remains active in his Atlanta, GA community. Holliday continues to
keep himself busy not only coaching the ferocious Golden Bears defensive lines, but also
serves as a managing consultant in several business endeavors. He coaches/mentors
young college & NFL defensive linemen and continues his philanthropic efforts by servicing
underserved communities through the Vonnie Holliday Foundation. Holliday notes that his
most important roles are husband to Eboni, and father to Kali (19), Joey (13) and golden
doodle Billie Holliday (5).
