Spike! Volleyball swept Mt. Pisgah and Whitefield 2-0 Tuesday, led by Amara Donnelly (setting and serving), and Ashley Wilson, Nora Godfrey, and Rylee Swain (offense). They also topped Galloway and McDonough 2-0 last week. Swain, Eva Connors, Chandler Campos, and Auldyn Patak (serving), and Harley Ward and Wilson (offense) were among the leaders. …JV beat Whitefield 3-0 Tuesday, with stars including Kynlee Swain, Anna Johnston, Allison Miller. They also swept Galloway and McDonough last week, with standouts including Mia Williams and Liza Tomilov…8^th grade lost in two to Pace Monday…7^th grade fell to Pace 2-0 Tuesday. 
 
Base hits! Softball shutout North Atlanta Wednesday. Asher Gleeson fanned 11; Mary Grace Kolb, Mary Drew Wise, Whitney Laundon, and Natalie Brown were the top hitters. They lost 9-4 to North Cobb Christian Tuesday but swept Therrell last week. Charlie Smith, Laundon, and Maya Shah hit well vs. North Cobb. Standouts vs. Therrell were pitchers Shah (no-hitter), and Gleeson and offensive heroes Parker Smith (HR), Brown, Emma Bell, Shah, Laundon, and Emily Gainer…MS lost 7-6 to Westminster Tuesday but beat Pace 13-4 Monday. Holland Osby pitched well vs. the 'Cats, Hannah Weber and Catie Wohlers led the offense and Maddy Porter and Katie Schreck the defense. Against Pace, Hensley Litchman pitched well, Lauren Manley, Osby, and Wohlers were the hitting stars.
 
Run! Cross country ran in Gainesville Saturday. Ivana Castellanos-Mora, Bobby Spencer, Edie Coil, Matthew George, Laney Kate Miller, Beatrice Jones, and Brayden Briles put in some of the top performances …MS meet at Marist was canceled Wednesday, but they will open the season the 12^th at the Baker Field course. 
 
Touchdown! Football beat Athens Academy 47-0. Brayden Bailey caught two TD passes from Ryan Woods and ran in for one, Woods hit Hunter Laughlin for a TD, and Sam Chasteen and Robert Camp had running scores. Mitchell Bainbridge booted two field goals. Defensively, Quinn Best and Bennett Burroughs had interceptions; Finn Ferrero recovered a fumble, and Landon Murray also starred. …JV blanked Westminster 20-0 last week. Colin Horne hit Cole Pratt and Bates Laughlin for TD passes; Wesley Logan ran in for a score. The defense was led by Quinn Best (INT), Towns Mooney, Jax Fountain, and J.D. Brumfield …MS Gold fell 20-0 to Walker Wednesday, but got good play from by London Grayson, Henry Reinhardt and Thomas Blanchard-Loftus. 
 
Fore! MS boys' golf topped Walker Monday, led by Parker Rivera, Nick Rescigno, and Hunter Kies. They fell to Pace last week, despite good play from Rivera, Beau Brinson, Cooper Angell, and Rescigno. They will be in action again Thursday vs. Fulton Science Academy.
 
Aces! MS girls' and boys' tennis fell to Pace Tuesday and to Westminster Monday. The Pace setback featured lots of close matches, while Madilyn Lucas picked up an impressive singles win against Westminster. They will be in action again Thursday against GAC.
